SEEC’s Math and Science Partnership Core Team went through a multi-session training August 7-9 at the Skills & Technology Training Center in North Fargo. This Math & Science Partnership Community of Practice explores 21st Century Skills with participants in and out of their classrooms.
Participants will become part of a larger Community of Practice for the purpose of learning and sharing STEM Project-Based Learning opportunities. They will have an in-depth learning opportunity of the North Dakota College and Career Ready Practice Rubrics. Sessions also offered learning opportunities in the ND Skills Modules that were created under a Leona Helmsley grant which include: Mindsets, Collaborative Grouping, Questioning and Feedback. Participants will learn the Gold Standard for PBL from the Buck Institute.
Lastly, teams collaborate time to create, refine and share their own PBLs with the community of practice. Core Team participants were able to earn 3 continuing education credits for this multi-session training!
